Michael Garrett
Michael Garrett is an author and one of the world’s top independent book editors. He is best known in literary circles as Stephen King’s first editor and publisher, having published one of King’s earliest short stories, I Was a Teenage Grave Robber, in the 1960s.
Michael is also widely recognised as co‑editor of the groundbreaking Hot Blood erotic horror anthology series, which became an influential collection within the horror genre.
In addition to his editorial work, Michael has served as a writing teacher and mentor to many authors, helping writers develop their craft through an “old school” approach to storytelling and editing.
Michael lives near Birmingham, Alabama, where he continues to work with authors and publishers.
Chris Burton
Chris Burton has spent years drawing on his own life experiences to tell a compelling and authentic story about his life.
Working alongside author Gabrielle, he has co-written Target, an autobiography inspired by true events from his life.
The book offers an honest and powerful account of his personal journey, sharing experiences that have shaped him and providing readers with a unique insight into his life story.
Target is scheduled for publication in September 2026.
The collaboration between Chris and Gabrielle has developed into a strong creative partnership, combining Chris’s lived experiences with Gabrielle’s writing expertise to produce engaging and meaningful work.
Following the release of Target, Chris and Gabrielle will continue working together on a range of future projects, including celebrity autobiographies, true crime stories, memoirs, and other non-fiction works.
